Bellvitge, a commuter town at the outskirts of Barcelona, is built with functional, 80/90’s style buildings, that are seen as ugly by the majority of inhabitants when comparing them with the modernist buildings of Barcelona. However, I always found them appealing in their not quiet brutalist geometry and simplicity, without artifice. I decided to represent them isolated and isometric, as individual characters, each with its own personality.
